Our latest awards are making 2022 quite the to-do
We’ve added a few more notches to our awards belt lately with a hefty 9 ICAD accolades and another entry into the coveted 100 Archive.
Delighted with our recent wins, we feel we’ve earned just enough bragging rights to shine a little light on our hard work.
A Swallow’s Tale, bigO’s Africa Day video for Department of Foreign Affairs, won three silver ICADs and one bronze for: Advertising Film – Web film over 60 seconds; Production Craft – Cinematography single; Production Craft – Music (new score); and Production Craft – Editing single.
The film sees an Irish seanchaí, Aindrias De Staic, and a Nigerian griot, Zeenie Summers, tell interlocking stories of the swallow’s journey as it migrates between Europe and Africa.
Context

Opening Ulysses, bigO’s video for Department of Foreign Affairs and MoLI to mark Bloomsday 2021, also brought home a pair of silver ICADs for Production Craft – Editing single and Production Craft – Music (new score).
The video used just the novel’s famous first line as its source material, weaving in voices from Ireland and around the world.
And it didn’t stop there, our work for Dublin Fringe Festival 2021, Reality is Flexing on Us, received a bronze bell and two commendations for Production Craft – Cinematography single and Design Craft – Use of photography (single).

Our imaginative creative treatment conjured a Dublin landscape distorted and abstracted by the artist’s touch.
This same Dublin Fringe Festival 2021 work was also recently added to the prestigious 100 Archive.
